Service Description
Mixing is where all the individual elements of a recording come together to create a cohesive, engaging and distinctive record. My approach goes beyond simply making everything sound clean and polished. I'm interested in creating mixes with personality, depth and character, bringing out the unique qualities of each song rather than forcing it into a conventional mould. From the initial idea to the finished record, I work with artists to develop their sound and bring their songs to life. Whether you're starting with a rough demo or have a fully formed arrangement, I'll help shape the direction, build the instrumentation and capture the performances that make your music stand out. Every project is approached individually, with a focus on creative collaboration, attention to detail and achieving a sound that feels authentic to you. Each mix receives: - 2 revisions per song (Costs may apply for extra revisions) - Stereo WAV file of final mix - Instrumental WAV (no vocals) Whether you're producing a single or working towards a full-length release, the goal is simple: make records that sound great and represent you as an artist. Terms of Service:
Pricing & Payment - Mixing fees start at $350 per song. - A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure your place in the schedule. - The remaining 50% is due once the mix has been approved and before final files are delivered. - Any additional services or work outside the original agreement will be discussed and quoted separately. Revisions: - Each song includes two rounds of revisions. - Please provide feedback as clearly and collectively as possible for each revision round. - Further revisions beyond the two included rounds may incur an additional charge, agreed upon before any extra work begins. - Significant changes to the original arrangement, production or recording are not included as standard mixing revisions and may require a separate quote. Project Files & Delivery: - Please ensure all recordings are complete and ready for mixing before submitting your project. - Audio files should be supplied as correctly labelled, consolidated stems, starting from the same point in the session. - Final mixes will be delivered as high-resolution WAV files. - Additional versions, such as instrumentals, clean edits or stems, can be arranged at an additional cost. Ownership & Usage: - The client retains 100% ownership of the master recording. - No ownership or master rights are transferred to me through the mixing service. - I may use completed mixes or short excerpts for my portfolio, website and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing. Timelines & Communication: - Estimated turnaround times will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins. - Timelines may be affected by delays in receiving files, feedback or approvals. - I'll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know if anything is likely to affect the agreed schedule. Cancellations: - If a project is cancelled after mixing work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable and covers the time and work already committed. - If a booking needs to be rescheduled, please provide as much notice as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability. By submitting a booking enquiry, you acknowledge these terms. Final project arrangements will be confirmed before work begins.
